Quality Fishing Rods

Building an excellent fishing rod is a very difficult task. The rods must have the correct actions, stand up to hard use and be light as possible while still maintaining industrial integrity.

It is difficult to explain exactly how excellent rods are manufactured because they consist of a combination of graphite materials. The butt of the rod blank is made from very high modulus material that is very light but extremely hard. This material is 84 million modulus or what we refer to as 40 Ton. This material is what allows the rod to be very light weight. The center of the rod is made from high modulus material that is light in weight but is designed to flex and give the rod its action. This material is 65 million modulus or 36 Ton graphite. The tip of the rod which stands the most hard use has 24 Ton graphite to give it the necessary strength required. This is the reason that we can maintain maximum strength and still produce a very lightweight fishing rod with the proper actions.

The handles and fore grips of all Stick'em Rods are produced at the factory with our specific design. We do not outsource our cork to have equal consistency with all of our rods.

One of the heavy points of a fishing rod is where the reel seat is secured to the rod blank. Many rod companies secure the blank by using wrapped paper and a lot of epoxy. This can make a rod very heavy as the necessary epoxy adds weight and many times does not secure the seat properly to the blank. Stick'em Rods uses either Balsa wood or Graphite arbors depending on the rod we are trying to produce. This allows great strength, secures the reel seat properly to the rod blank, and gives all of our rods a great weight advantage.

All Stick'em Rod blanks are splined or spined to find the heavy side of the rod. It must be determined if the blank is to become a casting rod or a spinning rod. In the case of casting rods we position the guides on top of the spine. On spinning rods the guides are directly under the spine. This keeps the rod guides from twisting to the spine when fully loaded and bent.

In conclusion we feel that we have built an excellent family of fishing rods. Try one out for yourself and find out what we are talking about, and remember: DON'T JUST HOOK'EM, STICK'EM!

Our guides are very high quality hard aluminum oxide guide inserts with stainless steel guide frames. The inserts will withstand all of the new super braid fishing lines. There is no fear of the line cutting into the inserts.
